Description: Beta sitosterol is a plant sterol that interferes with cholesterol absorption and thus prevents the rise in serum cholesterol. It also supports immune function, and is indicated for benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Contraindications: May interfere with beta-carotene and vitamin E absorption.
Safety Information: Not to be used for transplant recipients, due to the interference with immuno-suppression therapy medications.
