Description:
Zinc plays catalytic, structural and regulatory roles in more than 200 zinc metalloenzymes in biological systems. Zinc helps immune function, tissue repair, protein synthesis and antioxidant defense. Zinc is vital for growth and development, sexual maturation and reproduction, dark vision adaptation and insulin regulation.
Copper is essential in energy metabolism and for the formation of superoxide dismutase (SOD) It assists in the formation of hemoglobin and is involved in protein metabolism, the production of RNA, and the synthesis of phospholipids used in the formation of myelin sheath.
Contraindications: Copper is contraindicated in Wilson's disease. Drug interactions may exist.
Safety Information: High doses of Zinc (citrate) may impair immune function. Avoid concomitant use with captoril, chlorthalidone, cisplatin, tetracyclines, fluroquinolones, interferon, ALFA-2B, penicillamine, thiazide diuretics. Excessive use of zinc may decrease absorption of copper. Drug interactions may exist.
